The Cell Membrane Structure
The cell membrane is composed of a phospholipid bilayer. The bilayer is made up of phospholipids. Imbedded in the bilayer are integral proteins, and
cholesterol. Both of these help with the membrane’s numerous
functions. Attached to a few lipids and proteins are carbohydrates,
creating glycolipids and glycoproteins.
